Who is Fatih Dönmez?

Fatih Dönmez is a Turkish actor and theater educator who began his professional acting career in 2002 with Semaver Kumpanya after graduating from the Theater Department of Akademi Istanbul. Since the beginning of his professional journey, Fatih Dönmez has built a strong reputation through standout performances in some of Turkey’s most respected theater productions, including:

Twelfth Night, Titus Andronicus, Murtaza, Chamaco, Mem and Zin, The Tempest, Süleyman and the Others, Leyla’s House, and Fosforlu: The Musical.

In addition to his theater work, he has also acted in a wide range of popular Turkish TV series and films such as:

Yabancı Damat, Güneşin Kızları, Poyraz Karayel, A Love Story, Heartbeat (Kalp Atışı), The Protector (Hakan: Muhafız), My Dangerous Wife (Tehlikeli Karım), Toll Booth (Gişe Memuru), Gönül, Mixed Tape (Karışık Kaset), and Celal and Ceren.

Fatih has also served for many years as an acting instructor at Semaver Kumpanya’s acting workshops, where he trained many students for conservatories and worked as an acting coach.

In July 2019, he co-founded Mavi Productions, a creative company based in London, where he continues his artistic work. Currently, he stars as “The Storyteller” in the play In the Old Times of the World directed by Eda Çatalçam, and as “Ali” in the play Seher and Ali.

In 2023, he won the Best Actor Award at the Feel The Reel International Film Festival in Scotland for his performance in the short film The Whispers. His first major recognition came in 2003 when he, along with the cast of Semaver Kumpanya, received the New Generation Special Award at the 7th Afife Jale Theater Awards.

Since 2021, Fatih Dönmez has been working as an acting instructor at the Seasonal Players (Mevsimlik Oyuncu) training program, continuing to inspire and mentor the next generation of performers.
